Approximately 1km of double bank fly fishing on the River Wye just upstream of Erwood 7 miles downstream of Builth Wells. The beat is one of the best for low water salmon fishing both with fly and spinner and is characterised by a series of rocky gutters combined with large holding pools.
The trout and grayling fishing is of a very high quality with a diversity of water and some exquisite long dry fly flats that you can spend a whole evening on.
Wading is necessary to access most of the water and like other areas of the upper river felt and/or studded soles and a wading stick are essential. Care must be taken as some of the pools are extremely deep.
Pwll-Y-Faedda also provides excellent B& B accommodation next to the water.Tel: - 01982 560 202 or see           www.pwllyfaedda.co.uk
