This is my standard sea trout fly and accounts for the majority of my fish. It is not a good fly if you want to practice catch and release, it can often be difficult to unhook fish in the dark if the treble becomes embedded. However how ever you want to tie this fly the basic principles are here you can tie this fly on a single, double, tube, or waddington shank.
