Frank Williams Fly Fishing

Frank Williams

Frank Williams

As an APGAI qualified instructor, I am able to offer instruction and guiding in fly fishing and fly casting at the very highest level.

For complete beginners I offer fly fishing and casting instruction on one of the many stillwaters local to me. I also offer specialist instruction on the rivers and streams of South Wales. Being a Wye and Usk Foundation (WUF) recommended instructor, I have access to some of the best trout and grayling river fishing in the UK. I have extensive knowledge of these rivers having fished them myself for more than 10 years, the last four of which were in a professional capacity. This means that, as a guide, I can use my familiarity with these waters to put clients on the fish.

When it comes to casting tuition I can help you develop your skills from the basics right through to advanced spey casting for single handed rods.

You don't have to take my word for the quality of the instruction you will receive, here is what a recent client had to say about his day with me:

"Nick and I learned a great deal from you through the day and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. You have a very relaxed and approachable manner and your instructions and advice are always very clear and to the point. This not only makes you a highly effective and professional guide and teacher, it also means you are delightful company for a day's fishing and learning. Here's hoping we can catch up again sometime soon"

Miles Tandy, grayling fishing on the Wye.   October 2010

I run several courses throughout the year, from single day grayling courses in winter to three day residential courses at the luxurious Gliffaes Hotel. Because these courses have proved so popular, I will also be running single day courses in ”Technique, equipment and casts appropriate to the time of year” at three stages during the   trout season.

I also work with a team of dedicated fly fishing coaches that embrace a similar ethos to me. This means if you would like us to cater for larger groups or corporate events you can be assured of the very best service.
