Tackle
1) Make sure your float tube has at least two inflatable bladders.
2) Good quality flippers makes life easier.
3) Lifejackets are a prerequisite.
4)A proper inflating pump saves time and a lot of energy.
5)Wear a pair of good quality neoprene waders ; 5mm thick neoprene will keep you warm even on the coldest of lakes.
6)Invest in a wooden bow net, attach it to a D- Ring on your float-tube. The net floats and is small enough to manage easily.
7) Floating fly boxes are essential and they are cheap to buy. There would be nothing worse than seeing your prize fly collection disappear into the depths!
8) Sun tan lotion is a wise precaution, being surrounded by water it is surprising how quickly you can burn.

10) Choose a rod that you can cast comfortably with. There is no need for heavy/long rods, long distance casting is not required.
