Association Rules
CPTAA Rules
1.The season is per environment agency bye laws, with the exception of llyn Berwyn which opens on the 1st of April and closes on the 30th of September.
2.No fishing is allowed without a ticket issued on behalf of the association and anglers must possess a valid environment agency license before fishing.
3.The association reserves all powers regarding the issuing of tickets.
4.The Chairman and secretary have discretion to issue tickets otherwise, and if in doubt, to submit the ticket application to the committee.
5.Tickets are:
a)To be signed by the ticket seller and ticket holder.
b)Non transferable.
c0To be produced when asked for by any member of the association or an authorized bailiff.
6.Ticket holders shall:
a)Follow the country code
b)Not take dogs onto land controlled by the association
c)Use bridges, stiles etc. Laid down by the association, at their own risk
d)Accept the rules of the association as binding
7.Fishing Methods:
a)When the river level is below 0.8 meters (river level obtained on the environment agency river level call line: 0906 6197755) anglers shall not:
i. Fish for salmon or sewin in the river except for those pools designated on the associations official maps.
ii.Spin or worm for brown trout in the river.
b)Only game fishing is permitted on any water controlled by the association except with the express permission of the committee.
c)Fly fishing only for brown trout on:
i.Beat 3 (except in those pools designated on the associations official maps)
ii.Llyn Hir
iii.Llyn Egnant

Catch and release of brown trout:
i.Beat 3
The association recommends that ticket holders catch and releases fish and either crush the hook barb or use barb less hooks when fishing.
8.Fishing
Ticket holders shall:
i.Use only one rod at a time
ii.Only fish using a rod
iii.Return all fish under 23cm to the water
iv.Take a maximum of four fish per day of which a maximum of two can be taken from the river
9.Any ticket holder convicted of an offence of the fishing bye laws or infringing the rules of the association shall forfeit his/her ticket and cannot be a ticket holder/member of the association at the discretion of the committee.
10.All disputes shall be referred in writing to the chairman
11..Disputes shall be considered at a general meeting of the members and the decision of the committee shall be considered as final.
